CSA Board Member Interviewed on Radio Show

AlexandraBright and early Tuesday morning, CSA board member Alexandra D'Agostino was interviewed on the Montreal radio station CJAD 800 during the Andrew Carter morning show. Andrew asked her about stuttering and how wearing a mask can further effect communication. Alexandra has to wear a mask in her job as a nurse in Toronto. Hear their conversation here.

CSA’s first Virtual Docuseries a Success

On Thursday, August 27th, the CSA’s fundraising committee organized their first online virtual event to connect with Canadians who stutter and their supporters on Zoom. We had over sixty attendees sign up for this event where they watched a series of thought-provoking films and discussed key topics on stuttering related to self-acceptance, coping, speech therapy, and more.

Wearing a Mask When You Stutter

maskWearing a mask literally adds an additional layer to the challenges of people who stutter. Recently CSA Board Member Alexandra D'Agostino spoke on a radio show about her experiences with mask-wearing. The American Speech and Language Association has addressed the problem in an article here with advice for stutterers when wearing masks. Disclosing one's stutter and opting for a clear mask are just some of the options.

2020 Canadian Stuttering Association Conference Goes Virtual!
