Parker Mantell graduated from Indiana State University this May. He was the valedictorian, and the inspirational speech he gave has gone viral. SAVE THE DATE! June 6 at The Black Swan, 154 Danforth Avenue in Toronto a fundraiser to help send kids to Laughter's Voice camp will be held. Laughter's Voice is a camp for kids who stutter.

The phony web offer, "Kill your Stutter", has created an alternate identity under the new name "Stutterolax". We have written warnings about this offer before. The site is still going strong. To anyone who comes across offers for this product, you need not throw your money away, it is not a cure as it claims to be. "Stutterolax" even tried to post spam on the CSA YouTube page. Cheeky!

Katie Couric featured two people who stutter on her show recently and interviewed them in a series called "From Stuttering to Success." She interviews a teenage boy, Joel Viera, and broadcaster Byron Pitts. You can check out both episodes here. The interviews are excellent!

UPDATE: Laughter's Voice camp has been postponed until 2015.
In 2012 Felix Skinner attended Camp BCAPS, a camp for kids who stutter in British Columbia. The experience was so valuable for him that he suggested a camp like BCAPS should be started in Ontario.
