The Canadian Stuttering Association is pleased to announce the keynote speaker for our upcoming October conference: Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Geoff Regan, P.C., M.P.. Mr. Regan has served seven terms as the M.P. For Halifax west, and last year became House Speaker. He will be discussing his life and career as a person who has lived with stuttering. The McGuire Programme, an intensive treatment workshop for people who stutter, will be offered in Toronto, Canada August 10 - 13, 2016. This world-wide programme does not have a lot of Canadian dates so this is a special opportunity.

In it's 5th year, the 1K/5K Walk and Run for Stuttering Awareness is still going strong. Taking place in North Toronto along the Betty Sutherland Trail, there will be entertainment and a barbecue after the walk. $25 also gets you a nice yellow t-shirt, as well as the satisfaction of knowing you have donated to a worthwhile cause, the Speech and Stuttering Institute. The 2016 National Stuttering Association Conference in Atlanta, Georgia was another success for the organization. Members of the CSA and the CSA board of directors attended and participated in the conference.
