Last spring I was sitting in front of an elementary school primary class reading the book “It’s okay to be different” by Todd Parr, trying to make sure I stuttered. Fluency, in this case, would have meant failure.

Perley-Rideau Veterans' Health Centre
Last year in 2015, the Ottawa Hospital closed the long-running Stuttering Treatment Clinic, along with other out-patient clinics, due to budgetary concerns. Fortunately, treatment for stuttering is still available.

Keynote speaker Geoff Regan, Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, spoke about his experiences in the world of politics and his personal life.
